Le poste Descriptif du poste 🛠️ Your role Product engineering: you’ll have high ownership of your projects, from the business definition of the need to the conception and development of the new features and the run/maintenance (and beyond). Technical aspects: you’ll make sure our product can scale and handle clients with thousands of employees so that our user experience stays top-notch. Culture & processes: you’ll contribute to consolidating and developing our product & technical culture. You’ll improve our methods & processes (e.g. documentation, tests, CI, DevOps aspects, tooling). Team mentoring: you’ll lead by example as we build transparently, in a public-first mode. We ship qualitative code but we are pragmatic about it. 💻 Our technical stack: TypeScript, Node.js, React. Next.js hybrid fullstack application / Soon React Router Prisma with PostgreSQL. Previous experience in a startup. Fullstack mindset: we are a team of fullstack engineers. That said, we welcome preferences and expertise, and we will try to accommodate them as much as possible. Strong technical skills & ownership: you have experience making architectural choices, designing features, and running what you built. Track record of shipping meaningful features end-to-end in a small team with high ownership. Comfortable with ambiguity and can turn fuzzy problems into shipped solutions. During onboarding, you’ll spend time in Paris to calibrate expectations and ways of working with the team. This role is not for you if: You are solely interested in technical challenges (as we want to keep things as simple as possible). You are willing to work with clear specifications (good specs at Figures = problem defined + broad solution to the problem - but not something ready to be implemented). You are willing to only produce clean & ultra-tested code (we need to go fast and make trade-offs). You tend to be defensive or argumentative when receiving feedback. You prefer debating over shipping. You need a lot of synchronous support to move forward. 💰 Compensation & Perks 🎁 You can find all details about our compensation policyhere. On-market salary. We target the market’s 50th percentile using data from the best benchmark on the market. Here’s the description of our levels. 👉🏼 Senior level: from €61,600 to €78,400. Above-market equity. We allocate 14% of our company towards employee grants, which is considerably above market practices (the average equity pool size is a bit less than 10%). 👉🏼 0.26% to 0.37% ownership of the company, depending on your seniority level. Company incentive program (profit sharing plan). We believe in a collective sharing of Figures’ success. The purpose of this bonus is to associate employees collectively with the results and/or performance of the company. 👉🏼 The bonus potential is €3,000. Above-market benefits & perks. Maternity & parental leave: our basis is the French market minimum, but if you’re in a country with better ones, we’ll align your perks on it, hoping that someday we’ll all be aligned to German standards. 🙌 On top of that: 1-month parental leave for the second parent paid at 100% of the salary. 1-month worked part-time (50%) but paid at 100% when returning from maternity leave.
