Our advanced technology (Integration of ATA2200/iSpec2200/S1000D) in Aircraft Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul contributed to our strong international growth and establishing collaborations with the biggest aircraft maintenance companies all over the world. We are looking for an Backend Software Engineer to join our growing team in Paris and work on the core backend of our cloud-based SaaS solution. You will contribute to backend systems while progressively taking ownership of technical components and growing into a technical leadership role. You’ll join a skilled team, working in an international and collaborative environment. Your main responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain backend Java microservices powering Fieldlogs’s SaaS platform. Build secure, scalable, and high-performance APIs used by aviation clients and mobile field applications. Work on data modeling, data mapping, and aviation/industrial data standards (traceability, audit logs, compliance). Contribute to R&D topics, including configurable business logic, execution engines, and domain-specific components. Ensure reliability, performance, and scalability in a cloud-native, SaaS environment. Handle integration with external systems used by aviation and industrial clients. Collaborate closely with frontend, mobile, QA, and product teams through code reviews, testing, and agile delivery. Progressively take ownership of technical topics and prepare for leadership responsibilities (mentoring, technical guidance, small project ownership). Your qualifications: Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent. 2–4 years of experience in backend software development. Strong expertise in Java, backend development, and microservices architectures. Experience with API design, integration, and lifecycle management. Solid understanding of data modeling and complex business workflows. Experience or strong interest in SaaS, cloud platforms, and B2B products. Interest or experience in aviation, regulated, or industrial environments (compliance, traceability, auditability) is a strong plus. Exposure to domain-specific languages, rule engines, or interpreters is a plus. Awareness of UX/UI constraints for mobile or field-based applications is appreciated. Interest in technical ownership, R&D challenges, and leadership growth. Passion for delivering reliable, production-ready code in real-world environments. Fluent in English (spoken & written). Comfortable working in multicultural, international teams. Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
